Tieto supplies cards and tickets for electronic ticketing to Nordic public transport operators. In Norway, MIFARE DESFire is the standard for travel cards to ensure national interoperability. Tieto is an expert in this and other MIFARE standards such as MIFARE Ultralight, MIFARE Classic, MIFARE Plus and more.

Tieto has production lines designed for personalising MIFARE and other types of contactless cards. This provides high capacity, great flexibility and fast delivery to the customer. Our reference list includes several of the largest public transport operators in the Nordics.

Tieto supplies library cards adapted to each library’s lending system. The most common are national library cards, which can be used at every library in the country. The cards can have a custom design or the standard national design. They can be supplied with a barcode, magnetic stripe and/or chip, allowing them to cover several functions.

When ordering national library cards, the library must specify which number series is to be used.
